Dissolve yeast in bowl and allow to rest 1 minute.
Whisk in oil and dissolve completely.
Combine sugar, baking powder, and flour in stand mixer and stir thoroughly. Using the dough hook, slowly stream liquid into the bowl. Add additional water or flour as necessary, the dough should be elastic and slightly sticky.
Cover and allow to rise at room temperature for about 45 minutes.
