Title: Fried Wontons
Cooking time: 2 minutes
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Thaw wonton wrappers (assuming using a ~16oz frozen package) and set aside.
Chop scallions (and mince ginger if using fresh) and mix with other ingredients.
Using a small finger bowl of water, moisten the wonton wrapper edges and place a small amount (~3/4 tsp) of the meat mixture in the center of the wrapper. Fold the edges up at the corners and seal.
Heat oil to 360F and add wontons for 2 minutes or until golden brown, stirring frequently to brown edges as well.
Serve with duck sauce or Thai Sweet Chili Sauce:
Finished but uncooked wontons may be frozen, increase cooking time to 3 minutes.
